Gloden Review

Book Source: BookSiren Cross Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Type: Erotic Novella  Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Smut Rating: 🌶🌶🌶🌶/5 Golden by S.B Hazel Review  Curiosity led me to read this novella. Though the description said taboo, the words ‘watersports play’ in the synopsis/bio caught my attention. I had no idea what it was. Thus, I read this accepted this Arc and read it to feed my inquisitiveness. Boy, did I find out. I was like ‘wow, oh, so that’s what it is.’ Where I’m from watersports play is called ‘golden shower’. I was more than satisfied to find that out. I patted myself on the back after reading Golden. I didn’t even bat an eye and read it without a flinch. That called for success. With that said, it was not my cup of tea. All the sports play talk. Everything else was interesting. Even though it was short.  Sammy worked at an erotic club, catering to clients of various kinks. One night, she filled in for another worker and met two gorgeous...

Sucked Review

Book Source: Kindle Cross-Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Type: Erotica Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Smut Rating: 🌶🌶🌶/5 Sucked by AR Taboo Review ‘She can’t keep it out of her mouth’.  I went into this one with an entire baggage of curiosity. I noticed a friend read and gave a review. Two sentences got me wanting to find out what it meant. There was nothing there for the book bio/synopsis which enhanced my urge to know what the hype was about. Knowing me, I got a little too curious, and rushed to read it. I gobbled up this thing without batting an eye. No one would think I was reading anything smut worthy much less as taboo as this. Like what the heck?  I’ve become so desensitized to these things that nothing affects me these days. No triggers. Not even this Novella. At this point, I could wave down the train to hell and buckle myself in. This was just…I’m lost for words.  Father reunited with daughter after years of not seeing each other. That was just ...

Induction (Serving Veronica, #2) Review

Book Source: BookSirens Cross Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Type: Series Smut Rating: 🌶/5 Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Induction (Serving Veronica, #2) Review  This story made me want to have my own harem. If not, then a house like Veronica’s where everyone could be free to be who they wanted without judgment. Like I would freaking love to clean the house naked. Thank you, Jens/Jen for being so awesome with your gender fluidness. There! I said it. Chandra Storm was a genius to develop such a warm environment that even I couldn’t help but adore.  Okay, back to the review. Right. A full rundown of the story. Induction, book two of the Serving Veronica series, held in a Reverse Harem setting with BDSM was about two of Veronica’s submissives slash employees. Greg---awesome Grey---was the personal trainer while Mario was the chef. Everyone in this house had a role to play. It wasn’t all about sex, but people went through real struggle in their lives and dealing with past...

As You Walk By Review

Book Source: Kindle  Cross Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Type: Novel Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Smut Rating: 0.5/5 As You Walk By by Julian Winters Review  This book sent me on a roller coaster ride. I liked it, then I didn’t, and then I did. I was expecting something different from what I received but still, it wasn’t disappointing. I was more than satisfied with the outcome. It was refreshing and easy to read. I wasn’t a huge fan of the whole ‘most of everything happened at the party’ concept. I felt like more things could be eased into if it weren’t. Either way, the little funny scenes and the growth of the characters made up for the lack.  There were a lot of messages hidden in the story. Heavy themed. Sometimes I think it was too much, but it didn’t take away from the storyline. That much. I liked Theo, even though he was that protagonist who didn’t make you wanna like him sometimes. It was fun to read about him and how he was. Why he acted the way he did...

Promise and Pomegranate Review

Book Source: Kindle Cross Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Type: Standalone Series Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐/5 Smut Rating: 🌶/5 Promise and Pomegranate Review  Promise and Pomegranate by Sav R. Miller was a book recommended to me by a book club. Now I went into this one excited. Did the excitement last? Hell, no. Elena was considered the Mafia princess while Doctor Kallum was the Death Doctor---according to Ariana. I don’t know, but I liked that sister. Maybe it had something to do with her spunk, but she seemed more mature and level-headed than the female lead. Anyway, upon being blackmailed, Kal aided or half-aided the Ricci family by forcing their first daughter to marry him. Not that the father disagreed. It was one spectacular wedding. I wouldn't want to be in that priest's shoes. By Elena’s fourth point of view, I lost interest in her. I understood she had liked Kal since she was a child but come on. This guy took her virginity and left her without a word. When...

The Ex Hex (The Ex Hex, #1) Review

Book Source: Kindle Cross post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Type: Standalone Series Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐/5 Smut Rating: 🌶/5 The Ex Hex (The Ex Hex, #1) Review  The Ex Hex was one of those read that took me forever to get into. Maybe it was the cover. I had no idea what it was that made me want to hide away from it. Still, I put my big girl’s glasses on and dove into the book. By the end of the prologue, I convinced myself to continue. It was pleasing to read. Then the book happened, and I was…not loving it. Vivi and Rhys had a short summer fling---because it was a fling---only to break up because of a revealed secret. I thought Vivi took things out of proportion but what the hell do I know? I’m in the minority. Love is love and, in this case, I thought it was nothing but lust. Anyways, as I said, what do I know. Nine years later, Rhys was sent to Graves Glen to strengthen the ley lines on Founder’s Day. Only to discover his ex had cursed him. Not only that, but...

A Grave so Cold (A Grave so Cold, #1) Review

Book Source: BookSirens Cross-post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Type: Ongoing series  Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Smut Rating: 🌶/5 A Grave so Cold (A Grave so Cold, #1) I was cruising through BookSirens for an ARC Read when I stumbled on A Grave So Cold by CM Tillman. The horror tag got me a little nervous. I’m not a big fan of horror in anything. But the synopsis had me intrigued. To solve my curiosity, I requested a sample---meaning the first two chapters of the book. A quick read and I was even more intrigued. I raced to get the full book and gobbled it up in record time.  Willow was an ordinary girl living in an ordinary town. And because she thought her life was too boring, she opted to go to a college Halloween party with her long-time crush Zack Hunter. Let’s just say, things didn’t turn out how she wanted them to. Zack was a sleaze bag. Thankfully, Willow was the kind of protagonist with her head on her body. She learnt the truth and ditched the guy---sh...

Iced Out (Leighton U, #1) Review

Book Source: Kindle Type: MM Romance  Cross-Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐/5 Spice Radar: 🌶🌶🌶/5 Iced Out (Leighton U, #1) Review  I thought long and hard about this review. When it all came down the wire, I didn’t get as much as I had hoped from the book. So, that’s where we’re starting. Iced Out is a sports MM romance with Quinton and Oakley. Both enemies on the same hockey team in college. A potentially great story from that one sentence. Lost games led to more animosity to bantering between the two. At the beginning of the road, we, the readers, were introduced to what banter could lead to. One guy on his knees in a bathroom to prove a point to his enemy. A point well proven. Which led to winning a game and a superstition was born. Again, a possibly wonderful story. Was it, though? First of all, I didn’t like Oakley. The first few chapters of the incident with the test thing pissed me off. He did nothing and yet had the heart t...

Savage Rivals Review

Novel Source: Kindle  Cross-post Review:  Goodreads Review Type: MM Romance Novel  Starred rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Spice Radar: 🌶🌶🌶/5 Savage Rivals Review  Asher and Levi were captains for the football team of rival high schools. Not only were they enemies on the football field but off as well. An elite school against a regular high school. A rich guy against one not so much. Their hatred simmered and boiled over to the point of no return. One banter led to another which broke out into fights. Love came thereafter. A Halloween prank gone wrong and both men were thrust into a different sensation.  I, for one, thought Becca Steele was a genius to write this masterpiece. I enjoyed every second of it. Devoured it in one night.  It had been a while since I enjoyed a story so much. First of all, the football she used was the real football I grew up knowing was actual football. The one where if you touch the ball with your hand, it’s a penalty. I adored that she used t...

Keeper Review

Book Source: Kindle Cross-post Review:   Goodreads Review Type of book: Novel Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ Spice Radar: 🌶🌶 Keeper Review  I am a big fan of the trope friends to lovers’ romance. Therefore, when Goodreads recommended this book to me, I had to read it. I went into this one expecting much more than I got. Kingston and Camden were childhood best friends who were also seniors in high school. Camden, the responsible---I didn’t want to use this word but it was the only one that came to mind---took care of his younger sister as well as the football team and his best friend Kingston. Kingston, on the other hand, was the opposite.  I thought long on hard about how to speak about Kingston. This guy was hellbent on staying in the present. God forbid anyone from talking about the future around him. I couldn’t with him. He was just too much. I couldn’t help but be shocked by some of the crap that came out of his mouth. Even so, he had a caring side which I thought ...

The Ritual Review

Book Source: Kindle Cross-post Review:  Goodreads Review Starred Rating: ⭐⭐ Smut Rating: 🌶🌶🌶 Type of Book: Novel The Ritual The ritual by Shantel Tessier was one of those reads everyone was talking about. I noticed it on Tick-Tok and had to get the book. Ever since then, it had been sitting on my TBR, moping to be read. A few days ago, I noticed a few of my book friends reading it and thought I would jump on the bandwagon. To say I was taken on a ride was an understatement. Not a good one. Ryat and Blakely were the two protagonists in this dark college romance. Ryat joined a secret society referred to as Lords and lived in a fancy hotel off campus. What’s not interesting about that? I witnessed each stage he went through in this cult since his freshman year. This built up to why the book was titled The Ritual because, hey, during senior year, every successful Lord was given a chance to choose a chosen one. Each chosen would have to go through a ritual. In other words, a chosen o...
