Coming Up for Air Review

Book Source: Kindle  Cross-Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Type: Standalone Novel Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Smut Rating: 🌶/5 Coming Up for Air by Amanda Meuwissen Review  I stumbled on this story and noticed the merman on the book cover. I didn't even think much into it---not even to read the synopsis---why I took such a chance was beyond me---and got the book. My childhood obsession with merfolks--not Ariel, I hated her---followed me into adulthood. Therefore, anything merfolk and I'm going to read it. This book fell into that category. And, I was glad I decided to read this book.   It all began when Leigh was dumped into the river by the mobster brothers, whom he stole from to appease the mafia he worked for. On the verge of drowning, he was kissed by an angel. Later he woke ashore without the shackles that the gangsters had tied around his ankle. Thinking nothing of it, Leigh went home, trying to come up with a plan to get himself out of the bind he ...

Four Psychos (The Dark Side, #1) Review

Book Source: Store Cross-Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Type: Ongoing Series Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Spice Rating: 🌶/5 Four Psychos (The Dark Side, #1) Review Four Psychos? Honestly, I never understood why the book is called this. Yes, there were four guys. Were they psychos? No. Or not my type of psychos. I went into the book, thinking dark and riveting. I never got that. Nor the spice. But...yep...I liked it, nonetheless. Kristy gave me something I never expected to gobble up like Four Psychos whether the men were stable or not.  Lucifer? Now, that is the definition of psycho and what I was expecting from the four stars. I would totally date him. Not in real life, though. But he seems hot in my head. In an age-gap kind of romance.  A sad side note - I never read the synopsis, so I went into this blind. I should really stop doing this.  If anyone would ask me who was my favorite out of the four men, I wouldn't know. Their knight in ghostly armor ate...

Pretty Little Thief Review

Book Source: Store Cross-post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Type: On-going Series Starred Rating: ⭐⭐/5 Smut Rating: 🌶/5 Pretty Little Thief Review What the heck did I just read? This is the book of the month for my book club. A lot of those who read it raved that it was awesome. I thought ‘why not go for it?’ Boy, had I wished I didn’t. The protagonist, Princess Robyn---because all royals except the Mother Queen’s name starts with an R---was thrust into chaos---something we could see coming from a mile away---when her father died, and her brother took the crown.  While reading this story, I was stuck between being bored and annoyed. First and foremost, I blame the King and Queen for what the female protagonist faced. They failed as parents. How the hell would you have a parent whom you knew was a manipulative witch and entrusted her with your child? What kind of monster does something like that? If I know my mom is a bitch, I’m not going to want to leave my kid with her...

Induction (Serving Veronica, #2) Review

Book Source: BookSirens Cross Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Type: Series Smut Rating: 🌶/5 Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Induction (Serving Veronica, #2) Review  This story made me want to have my own harem. If not, then a house like Veronica’s where everyone could be free to be who they wanted without judgment. Like I would freaking love to clean the house naked. Thank you, Jens/Jen for being so awesome with your gender fluidness. There! I said it. Chandra Storm was a genius to develop such a warm environment that even I couldn’t help but adore.  Okay, back to the review. Right. A full rundown of the story. Induction, book two of the Serving Veronica series, held in a Reverse Harem setting with BDSM was about two of Veronica’s submissives slash employees. Greg---awesome Grey---was the personal trainer while Mario was the chef. Everyone in this house had a role to play. It wasn’t all about sex, but people went through real struggle in their lives and dealing with past...
