Trouble (Winter Sun, #3) Review

I liked Kirby from book one. Thus, I skipped book two to read Trouble. Like the first book, book three sucked me in from the first paragraph of the prologue. Hugh was a sweetheart. Now I can't decide which Alpha I like better. Burke or Hugh? Gosh, can't I take both? Like I could reverse harem these men. Yep. That sounds better.

Kirby and Hugh have been skipping around each other for three years. No amount of sweet talk could wear out Kirby. Hugh thought patience would do the trick. Even though the famous porn star, Kirby, made it hard for him to see any light in the dark tunnel of love and relationship.

Kirby adored the big sexy alpha. Desperate to keep his friend, he made the rule to never have sex with anyone in the circle. Co-workers and nobody else. A great plan until his heat cycle was coming up and his director thought it was great to shoot another award-winning movie, showcasing his cycle. Great. As a porn star, Kirby loved the camera and how safe and pleasurable sex felt on a set.

The thing was his friend, Hugh, auditioned for the spot as the alpha that would help him ride out his cycle. Kirby was both thrilled and scared. Hugh, on the other hand, was ecstatic. He could use the money to get him a step further out of the debt he and his younger brother were in. Not to mention, the bonus was he got to smash the omega he had wanted since Jesus was a boy. Oh my Gosh, omit that part.

Once again, the smut scenes were on point. They were hot! Joe deserves a freaking award for writing smut. Like guy knows how to make you want to buy an air conditioner. Damn! Little sweet moments were captured in the mix between Kirby and Hugh. I found myself screaming. I want an alpha to cook with and encourage me when I'm at my worst. Why can't I get that? Reality is shit.

I loved the story but disliked that at some points when it came to Kirby's self-assessing, it seemed similar to Emerson's. I craved originality. Sure, they went through the same thing. They were both on the streets and whatnot. But, in my mind, Hugh seemed much sweeter than Burke. Kirby went through far more than the young omega. There was a huge difference between them. Show me that like the rest of the story.

Regardless of that small annoyance, I was over-ecstatic about this one. The relationship had debt and a solid root, springing from friendship. I adored that. Me thinking this is my favorite out of the two stories I read in this series. Things fell in place for me and the sex mellowed out with the romance. Because there was romance. Them caring for each other in the end gave me goosebumps. Seriously, guys, read the shit out of this story. It's worth it.

Sucked Review

Book Source: Kindle Cross-Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Type: Erotica Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Smut Rating: 🌶🌶🌶/5 Sucked by AR Taboo Review ‘She can’t keep it out of her mouth’.  I went into this one with an entire baggage of curiosity. I noticed a friend read and gave a review. Two sentences got me wanting to find out what it meant. There was nothing there for the book bio/synopsis which enhanced my urge to know what the hype was about. Knowing me, I got a little too curious, and rushed to read it. I gobbled up this thing without batting an eye. No one would think I was reading anything smut worthy much less as taboo as this. Like what the heck?  I’ve become so desensitized to these things that nothing affects me these days. No triggers. Not even this Novella. At this point, I could wave down the train to hell and buckle myself in. This was just…I’m lost for words.  Father reunited with daughter after years of not seeing each other. That was just ...

The Dark One (Vicious Lost Boys, #2) Review

Book Source: Kindle Store Cross-Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Spice Radar: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 Type of Novel: Series  Genre: Dark Romance Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ Book two of the Vicious Lost Boys series and I am here for it. The cliffhanger in book one got me intrigued. I jumped into book two to see what happened. Triggers includes Sex scenes, profanity, violence. I advise reading Nikki's content warning before jumping into this one.  The Dark One (Vicious Lost Boys, #2) After The Never King came The Dark One in the Vicious Lost Boys series. Nikki St. Crowe once again gave us what we needed in this Peter Pan retelling. I figured the title referred to Vane, the character. However, it was still centered around The Lost Boys of Neverland. A continuation of the last scene in the first book, The Never King.  I liked the way Nikki wrote the novel. It made it seem as if I was watching a bad ass show on tv. Sex included. The story got more in debt of the lives of the pe...

Coming Up for Air Review

Book Source: Kindle  Cross-Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Type: Standalone Novel Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Smut Rating: 🌶/5 Coming Up for Air by Amanda Meuwissen Review  I stumbled on this story and noticed the merman on the book cover. I didn't even think much into it---not even to read the synopsis---why I took such a chance was beyond me---and got the book. My childhood obsession with merfolks--not Ariel, I hated her---followed me into adulthood. Therefore, anything merfolk and I'm going to read it. This book fell into that category. And, I was glad I decided to read this book.   It all began when Leigh was dumped into the river by the mobster brothers, whom he stole from to appease the mafia he worked for. On the verge of drowning, he was kissed by an angel. Later he woke ashore without the shackles that the gangsters had tied around his ankle. Thinking nothing of it, Leigh went home, trying to come up with a plan to get himself out of the bind he ...
