The First and the Last Review

Book Source: Kindle Store Cross-Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Spice Radar: 🌶🌶🌶/5 Type: Series Genre: MM Romance  Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 I was in desperate need of a quick read. This book came to my rescue along with Str8te Guys by Evangeline Anderson. Loved that erotica by the way. Also a MM Romance. I was more than happy I stumbled on these two books. Read them in one night. Yeah, one night. Who needs sleep when we have a book, right? The First and the Last Review  The first and the Last was a MM Romance by Jessi H Reign. A friends-to-lovers omegaverse. The paranormal romance began with the growth of Sully and Jules from their high school years until they became shifters. The two saw each other as best friends until a Storm flew through their pack. Okay, not an actual storm but a woman called Storm. A mind-blowing threesome and the males realized they liked the experience of each naked a little too much.  I hoped that wasn't a spoiler. But, I th...

Don't You Dare Review

Book Source: Kindle Store Cross-Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Spice Radar: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶/5 Type: Novel  Genre: MM Romance  Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Don't You Dare was recommended to me by Goodreads. They thought because I read Luke from the Unexpected Series, I would like this book too. I was never the type to turn down a recommendation. Even though it was not on my November TBR , I squeezed in a read. Public outing, bi-curiosity, and a few other trigger warnings are present. Without further a due, let's get going with the review.  Don't You Dare Review  Don't you dare was a novel by CE Ricci. A friends to lovers romance. This MM Romance started with a game referred to as the title. A spin off of Truth or Dare. Keene and Aspen were nothing more than best friends until the game changed everything. One kiss and Keene's sexuality shattered. Another attempted one and the hidden truth came out. ' Friends help friends, right? It's some kind of hidden...

Wretched Review

Book Source: Kindle Store  Cross-Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Spice Radar: 🌶🌶/5 Type: Novel Genre: Dark Dystopia  Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐/5 Wretched was one of those books I stumbled on while cruising through Goodreads. I read a few of the reviews and thought ' why not see what this is all about? ' A book not meant for the faint of heart. Trigger warnings included incest, child abuse, substance abuse, gore, profanity, and sexual scenes. See? Not for the faint of heart. Let's get the review on the road.  Wretched Review  Two bestselling authors, Yolanda Olson and Emery Leeann, came together to create a powerful novel, Wretched . Abused at a young age by their mother, Tieran and Hensley set out on a mission of revenge. Wretched took me through the hardship the twins faced as they struggled with their past and present. They were victims, who channeled their hatred to the outside world. I was a bit lost at the opening chapters but picked up on thin...

Credence Review

Book Source: Kindle Store  Cross-Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Spicy Radar: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 Type: Standalone Novel Genre: Romance  Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐   November is the theme for the found family trope in my reading club. Not a big fan, but I noticed this book during our voting period. I was all in for the reverse harem theme displayed on goodreads. What could be hotter, right? Nothing. This book was not a dark read but it was a bit depressing in some sense. A few triggers involved were almost rape, profanity, sex, threesome, emotional and slight physical abuse---the guy literally spat on her. Not during sex---and childhood trauma. Yeah, quite a few of those. Let's get into this review.  Credence Review  Credence by Penelope Douglas was written about the protagonists Tiernan and her deceased father's stepbrother and his two sons. After Tiernan's parents' death, they left her in the care of her father's stepbrother, Jake. Deciding to run away from the ...

P.S I Loathe You Review

Book Source: Kindle Store Cross-Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Spice Radar: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 Type: Standalone Genre: MM Romance  Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was cruising through my goodreads profile and noticed this recommendation. I thought why not. Here we are after a wonderful read. This one has a few tropes. Some of them includes enemies-to-lovers, sister's ex-fiancé, unknown identity, HEA, and a few others. If you are all for banters and fun, this one is right up your alley.  P.S. I Loathe You Review P.S. I Loathed You written by Isla Olsen was centered around two protagonists, Wes and Devon. An enemies to lovers romance that had me smiling way too much. When Devon's fiancé decided to break up with him on the advice of a relationship expert, Devon took action. Not the best one, but still. One accidental email transformed enimeies to frenemies to boyfrenemies.  Isla showcased both characters’ hate for each other yet blending it with the chemistry between t...

Their Vicious Darling (Vicious Lost Boys, #3) Review

Book Source: Kindle Store Cross-Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Spice Radar: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 Type of Novel: Series Genre: Dark Romance  Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The third book in the Vicious Lost Boys and the final book that has been published. I don't want to get too in dept in the review to spoil anything, but this book was eye opening. I do advise reading the content warnings before jumping into this series.  Their Vicious Darling (Vicious Lost Boys, #3) Book three of the Vicious Lost Boys series was Their Vicious Darling . Nikki St. Crowe returned to centering the title around Winnie. Plotwise, it portrayed Neverland and the conflicts each character had between each other. I was not sure what to expect from book three. The Dark One ended with a bang. One that I did not approve of, but it was a great cliffhanger, nonetheless.  Their Vicious Darling opened with the point of view of a new character. I was not sure why that scene mattered. I continued anyw...

The Dark One (Vicious Lost Boys, #2) Review

Book Source: Kindle Store Cross-Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Spice Radar: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 Type of Novel: Series  Genre: Dark Romance Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ Book two of the Vicious Lost Boys series and I am here for it. The cliffhanger in book one got me intrigued. I jumped into book two to see what happened. Triggers includes Sex scenes, profanity, violence. I advise reading Nikki's content warning before jumping into this one.  The Dark One (Vicious Lost Boys, #2) After The Never King came The Dark One in the Vicious Lost Boys series. Nikki St. Crowe once again gave us what we needed in this Peter Pan retelling. I figured the title referred to Vane, the character. However, it was still centered around The Lost Boys of Neverland. A continuation of the last scene in the first book, The Never King.  I liked the way Nikki wrote the novel. It made it seem as if I was watching a bad ass show on tv. Sex included. The story got more in debt of the lives of the pe...

The Never King (Vicious Lost Boys, #1) Review

Book Source: Kindle Store  Cross-Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Spice Radar: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 Type of Novel: Series  Genre: Dark Romance  Starred Ratings: ⭐⭐⭐   The Never King is a book I have seen being hyped on TikTok. I even added it to my TBR list. Never touched it and read older books. Then, it got selected for the themed book of our found family trope. I pushed all other books aside and started the Vicious Lost Boys series. I can't decide if I love it or not. Maybe I am hanging in limbo. We should get to the review.  The Never King (Vicious Lost Boys, #1) Review  Nikki St. Crowe wrote The Never King (Vicious Lost Boys Book, #1) . This Dark Romance centered around Peter Pan and Wendy’s great-granddaughter, Winnie. All the Darlings women before her were kidnapped by Peter Pan only to be returned later with mental illnesses. Winnie feared she would be among them soon. Then her eighteenth birthday arrived, and she was whisked away to Neverland. H...

Summer Proposal Review

Book Source:  BookSirens Cross-Post Review:  Chantie's Goodreads Review Spice Radar: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 In a Series: No Genre: Romance  Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Summer Proposal is another ARC Read from BookSirens. The cover never appealed to me, but I wanted to dive into a short story. This Novella did not disappoint. A few triggers involved mentioning of infidelity, profanity, sex scenes, and age-gap relationship. If you can tolerate any of the warnings mentioned, then we can move forward.  Summer Proposal Review  Peter Clarke and Katherine Thompson were the protagonists for Denice Holt’s Romance Summer Proposal . Kathrine, the forty-nine-year-old divorcee, agreed to let Peter stay at her house until his college graduation. The summer started normally. Katherine went out on a string of dates. Peter attended class. Everything was fine. That was until Katherine walked in on Peter masturbating. Things turned upside down. An apology morphed into unexpected events which led ...

Luke (Unexpected, #4) Review

Book Source: Kindle Store Cross-post Review: None Spice Radar: Didn't get that far to measure everything In a series: Yes Genre: MM Romance Starred Rating: N/A  Once again, I continued with the books in line for the Unexpected series . Luke was the fourth. From what I have read, it had a few triggers like profanity, masturbation, stalking, transgender, Dom and Sub relationship. Okay, let's get started.  Luke (Unexpected, #4) Review  The Unexpected series had Luke as its fourth book. Cora Rose wrote Luke and a doctor called Elliot as the two protagonists of this MM Romance. Both men met under the most unexpected circumstance. On Luke’s way to get coffee with a busted face, he met Elliot. The transgender helped the muscular guy because doctors never passed the chance to help a sick person in need. It thrilled Luke and he pushed to get to know Elliot. The doctor was not so forthcoming, but of course it never stopped Luke. He forced himself in the doctor’s life. A ...

Emery (Unexpected, #3) Review

Book Source: Kindle Store  Cross-Post Review:  Chantie's Goodread Review Spice Radar: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 In a Series: Yes Genre: MM Romance Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Since I finished Whit and Sem, I decided to complete the series. The first two books were fabulous, so it made sense to carry on the baton. Emery had profanity, masturbation, sex scenes, mentions of substance abuse, mentions of abusive childhood, stepsibling relationship, and mentions of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).  If you are okay with all this, we should get the review going.  Emery (Unexpected, #3) Review  Emery , Unexpected series book three written by Cora Rose was just as fabulous as Whit and Sem . Emery’s father married August’s mother and they became stepbrothers. A well put together young man verses a victim of child abuse. Oh, they made the perfect couple. Yep. August disliked how aloof and unbothered his stepbrother was. Emery thought of August as a perfect gift he wante...

Sem (Unexpected, #2) Review

Book Source: Kindle Store  Cross-post Review:  Chantie's Goodread Review Spice Radar: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 Part of a Series: Yes Genre: MM Romance  Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐   I enjoyed Whit so much that I decided to check out Sem. I did get a glimpse into the crazy plot from Whit, so I was more than exited to read Sem. It was just as good as Whit. Heck, it was even crazier. I loved it. It involves profanity, sex scenes, emotional abuse from family, some mentions of bullying, and homophobes. If that doesn't scare you away, then get your TBR and let us start the review.  Sem (Unexpected, #2) Review  Sem is the second book in the Unexpected series by Cora Rose. We got a sneak peak of Magnus and Sem's first meet in the first book, Whit . Sem decided to drive Magnus home from the hospital.  Sem, a hulk of a man, noticed and got fascinated by little Magnus's fashion sense. So much so that he followed him around.  Or that was the vibe I got from in Whit. In Sem , i...

Whit (Unexpected, #1) Review

Book Source: Kindle Store  Cross-Post Review:   Chantie's Goodread Review Spice Radar: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 Part of Series: Yes Genre: MM Romance  Starred Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I first bumped into Whit  on my surf through Goodreads. One of my friends was reading it. Though it was a part of a series, I was in the mood for reading a male-on-male romance. And I was glad I did. This queer romance involves triggers such profanity, sex scenes, self-harm, mentions of child abuse, and coming out. If any of these floats your boat, then let's get into it.  Whit (Unexpected, #1) Review  Whit (unexpected, #1) written by Cora Rose was a MM masterpiece. Caleb, the protagonist, was a once straight guy, who became curious about his roommate, Whit. Curiosity did not kill this cat. He got the good-good. Two men with opposite personalities had one thing in common. The desire for the other. Their time together as roommates pushed them to accept each other. It never helped much whe...
